4 Day New York Itinerary

Hello and happy Wednesday! A severe case of insomnia last night led me to starting this blog post about what my sister, Mum and I all got up to this past weekend. Everywhere we ate and the order in which everything was organised just worked out perfectly for us. I hope it will for you too! ūüôā

I emailed the below itinerary to my Mum before they arrived. If you can’t already tell, I LOVE organising things! They were staying in The Redbury hotel on 29th and Park Ave and they really loved it so would definitely recommend staying there. It’s really close to my apartment here so it worked out perfectly for us.

Day One
Walk the Highline
Le Bain rooftop for a drink & the best view

Sushi @ Momoya Chelsea¬†– it was the best sushi I’ve ever had!

Day Two
Williamsburg – Cafe Juliette

Walk the Brooklyn Bridge*
9/11 Museum

* We got the ferry from Williamsburg to DUMBO and walked back over the Brooklyn Bridge towards Manhattan, I would highly recommend doing it in that order!

Dinner & Drinks
Korean BBQ at¬†Jong Ro BBQ. Korean BBQ is an interesting way to eat but it’s a lot of fun. My best advice would be to make sure your waiter explains exactly how much food is coming and included in each dish. Also, order less than you think you will need! We then went to Pod 39 rooftop for drinks and it’s definitely one of my favourite rooftops in the city, such a cool atmosphere!

Day Three
Two Hands in Soho – get the banana bread to share for an extra treat. It’s divine!

Wander Soho
Magnolia Bakery Рyou need to try the Banana Pudding- OMG!
Chill out in Washington Square Park
Wander the West Village

Dinner & Drinks
Emily’s for Burgers. You will need to book in advance on their website but honestly, it was the best burger that I’ve ever tasted so you have to go! Before dinner we went to one of my favourite bars which is actually Irish owned but you would never know. It’s called Wilfie and Nell and it is so quaint and chilled out.

Day Four
Penelope’s was unfortunately full (on a Monday!!!) so we changed our plans and headed up to Bluestone Lane on the Upper East Side. From there we walked down the side of the reservoir and through the park to take us to the Met Museum.

The Met Museum & The Met Rooftop – we actually were too tight on time to go up to the rooftop but it’s supposed to be fab so definitely worth a look!

Lunch / Dinner
Street Taco in Murray Hill for an amazing Mexican.

One thing that we didn’t have time to do but Conor and I actually did today was renting out Citi Bikes and cycling up the west side highway. Citi Bike is such a great way to see the city and get from A to B cheaply. We stopped off in the Boat Basin Cafe and it was just the nicest experience. One thing to note about Citi Bike is that you have to check the bikes back into a new docking station every 30 minutes. You can take them back out again but just be aware to not go over the time limit!

I hope you found this sample itinerary helpful and if you use it, please let me know what you think! Hope you like the few pictures I snapped over the weekend too.
