Ba*nana* Ice Cream

Where have you been all my life? I genuinely prefer this ice cream to any other. It is so creamy & healthy at the same time – winner winner!

Banana ice cream has been cropping up on my Instagram (#nicecream) for the past few months now but I had my doubts about it. I wasn’t sure it was worth the effort, and how on earth could it compare to my beloved Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup?! Well, I really proved myself wrong & I urge you to try it too!

This is perfect as a sweet treat in the evening. I added almond butter to make it extra rich and creamy. Although bananas have one of the highest sugar content out of most fruits, they are 100% a healthier option than some Ben & Jerrys. I especially love this recipe because the added almond butter adds a great source of healthy fats and the cinnamon is great for regulating blood sugar levels, so you can feel good about what you’re consuming.

Banana Ice Cream


Recipe for this delish Banana Ice Cream:

2 frozen bananas (chopped into slices and frozen for at least two hours)

1 tablespoon of almond butter

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

A dash of almond milk (if the mixture is very dry)

Blend the bananas first until they form into a smooth paste then add the rest and blend again until you get it all mixed up.


I added goji berries and cacao nibs to decorate, but I actually prefer eating it without them!
