The Christmas classic Prawn Cocktail, two ways.

Ingredients

Classic Prawn Cocktail
Per person:
5 king prawns
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp Worchestire sauce
Squeeze of lemon juice (to taste)
Salt & pepper (to taste)
Paprika to garnish
Sliced avocado
Bed of chopped lettuce

Coronation Prawn Cocktail
Per person:
5 king prawns
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp greek yogurt
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp mango chutney
Chopped mango
Bed of chopped lettuce

Instructions

Chop up a lemon & drop into salted boiling water.
Place your prawns into the pot & them remove off the heat. Your prawns will take just 2-3 minutes to cook depending on the size. Don’t boil them or cook for too long!
Remove from the pot once cooked through (you can test one to make sure they’re cooked - they’ll be white on the inside) & place in an ice bath to stop them from cooking further.
Pat dry & serve with your prawn cocktail of choice either individually like me or on a larger serving board for more of a family style way to enjoy them.
