Five Women Who Inspire Me

Hi guys and happy International Women’s Day! I wanted to share with you the five women who inspire me each day. I’m sure you will see a lot of posts like this today, but anyway, here is mine

Perhaps you’ve heard of one or two or all of these people but let me know if they inspire you too. If not, please tell me who does! I would love to hear.

My Mum

Okay, so I had to start with my best bud in the whole world. I speak to my Mum at least once a day and the fact that I’m so far away absolutely kills me. I could talk all day about how wonderful she is but I’ll keep it short and sweet for today. I look up to my Mum because she’s hard-working, dedicated, driven, caring, an incredible cook, motivated, honest, reasonable, understanding, and intelligent. No matter what the situation may be, I will take her opinion on board first and foremost. I hope with my whole heart that if I have a daughter, our relationship will be like the one I have with my Mum. I feel so loved every single day and I know that I’m so incredibly lucky to have her.

Sarah’s Day

Now I’m taking things down under. I am not joking, I am full on obsessed with this girl. She’s an Australian fitness and food vlogger and she is amazing!
I found her on YouTube last Summer when I watched her Hormonal Acne video, and I then proceeded to binge on her videos. I feel no shame in saying that I’ve watched some of her videos more than once. I leave her channel feeling motivated, happy, and inspired. If I ever start my own YouTube channel, then I would want it to be like hers. Every single topic she talks about resonates with me and I am just a full on fan girl!

The Food Medic

Hazel Wallace is an Irish doctor and fitness & food blogger based in the UK. Not only does she manage her hugely successful website, but she’s also just written a book! All while she works as a full time doctor. Her work ethic makes me feel like there is less room for excuses when it comes to achieving your goals. I feel motivated when I see how much she juggles in life. It’s so encouraging to see!

The McGinn Sisters

I’m lucky enough to call one of these incredibly talented sisters one of my best friends. I can’t even begin to tell you how much these ladies inspire me. Building a business from the ground up is no mean feat…and dealing with everything else that goes along with it, through the ups and the downs, is another level of hard work and commitment. Any aspiring entrepreneurs need to read up on the McGinn’s and their story. They inspire me because when I think about where they started, and their growth and drive, I don’t feel as intimidated to go after what I want. I feel like I shouldn’t doubt myself, because if you put your mind to something and give it everything, you will go places

Lauryn Evarts

Lauryn is an everything-blogger over at The Skinny Confidential. I don’t know what it is about her that makes me trust literally everything she says. From beauty tips to decor to recipes to business, I just can’t get enough. She is brutally honest and her humor cracks me up. She runs a really successful podcast too with her husband and it’s so so so good! I feel productive when I’m listening to it. If you follow me on Snapchat, then you’ll remember 3 weeks ago I fell flat on my face on the street scrolling through a podcast channel. It was this channel that I was so engrossed in, because I was trying to find an episode I hadn’t already listened to. I can’t recommend it enough!

So there you have it! All of the women who truly inspire me at the moment. I’d love to hear who inspires you too? I also should mention that it goes without saying that each and every one of my friends motivate and encourage me every single day. I’m lucky to have a great group of friends in New York that make being away from home that bit easier…and of course my best friends at home who have put up with me and motivated me from day one.

Oh and before I go…the lovely people over at Myprotein US shared this really inspiring video with me to share with you guys. It talks through inspirational women in sports since the beginning of time!

Anyway, have a great Wednesday everyone!
