I’m starting off the week with a homemade protein bar recipe.
My recipes lately have been very gym/post workout focused and there’s no sign of that changing any time soon! Things can get very hectic here so having snacks like these on hand is essential when you’re on the go. These bars are perfect either post workout or just after a meal as a sweet treat! Anything that will stop me spending $5 on a Quest bar, I welcome with open arms!
This weekend was jam packed with lots of eating out, so I’m definitely ready to start this week on a clean note!
This is a rich and tasty recipe that makes two bars, so double up if you want a few to get you through the week! I’m in the process of taste testing lots of new recipes at the moment, I know that once Summer hits I’m going to be relying heavily on the snacks that I have with me in my bag! I love making protein bars/balls at home because I can adjust the taste as I make them since you just mould them and then leave them to chill. I used peanut butter in this bar, but I’ve also used almond butter and that tastes great too!
