Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknits

If you follow me on Snapchat you may have noticed how excited I was last week after buying my new Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknits. I bought them to congratulate myself after a particularly grueling week of work two weeks ago and I couldn’t have been happier leaving the shop that night with them in hand.

My friend Lorna wrote a blog post about the importance of treating yourself every now and again and I couldn’t agree more. Splurging a little from time to time is such a nice way to treat yourself, and it’s so much better than rewarding yourself with food, which is such a bad habit that I need to get out of haha! These new runners were exactly what the doctor ordered, I don’t think I’ve bought myself a pair of runners in about a year so I was extra excited about them! They literally make me feel like I’m walking on clouds – the dream! The only issue is that I know for a fact that i haven’t a hope of keeping them clean. I already scuffed them yesterday in the park and it really affected me… (joke).
I shot this look a while ago with Edelle, and it was right after we shot a whole editorial style shoot with the lovely girls from Bramble & Berrie, to promote their stunning flower crowns. It was a full Irish team from styling to photographing to creating each headpiece. I can’t wait to share the final images, the flower crowns are just beautiful!

I love how the Irish community over here are literally like magnets to each other. I think I had it in my head that I would meet so many people from different cultures and have a group of friends from each corner of the world, but it literally couldn’t be more the opposite! It’s great having that connection to home through the people that you’re in contact with every day. We all have the same humor, interests and work ethic. Seriously, everyone out here is here for their own reason, but everyone is working so hard to reach the end goal. It’s that contagious New York energy inside us all that just makes you want to work and achieve things that might not be possible somewhere else. Days like the day we shot the flower crown collection are just really inspiring. I remember chatting to Leanne, one of the girls from Bramble & Berrie a few months ago, and she kindly offered to make me a flower crown for Coachella. Fast forward a few months and they have launched a brand new business off this idea thats fueled by their passion and creativity! I’m telling you, anything is possible once you put your mind to something and work hard for it.

I hope that everyone had a great week and will have an even better weekend. My dad is in the city for the day so I’m so excited to see him. I’m so lucky that he travels so much for work and gets to drop by to see me every now and again, it makes being away from home so much easier! Also, he always tells me that my blog is good, but that there isn’t enough about him on it… He’ll be delighted with this little mention – haha!
