The *Purple* One

Having a bit of time on your hands in the morning calls for a good old fashioned smoothie to start you off right.

I actually rarely drink fruit smoothies, I usually stick with my two staples, see here & here. If I am going to have one, I much prefer making them myself. It’s way better when you know exactly what’s going in to what you’re consuming. It also means that you can add whatever you like to have it bursting with goodness!

After making The Green One, The Purple One had to follow. Maybe I’ll try and make a whole rainbows worth of smoothie recipes, hmmm.

The Purple One

Smoothies are a great way to get in all of the essential minerals and vitamins which are super for your hair, nails & skin. Also, this one tastes great, if I do say so myself!


The Purple One Recipe:

1 cup of frozen mixed berries

2 cups of almond milk 

½ a frozen banana

1 tbsp of flaxseed

1 tbsp of chia seeds

Blend all the ingredients up & enjoy!
