Midweek Beef & Rice
Ingredients
500g lean beef mince
2 small onions, sliced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tsp of ginger (I used ground but fresh is better!)
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp oyster sauce
4 tbsp water
1 tsp cornflour
Instructions
Fry the onions in sesame oil until translucent. Remove from the pan, then add in the beef mince & cook until brown.
Add in the garlic, followed by the ginger and fry for another minute or two.
Add back in the onions, and then add the sauce on top.
Leave to simmer for about 5-10 mins until the sauce thickens up.
Serve over rice. Garnish with a handful of spring onions, sesame seeds, a generous drizzle of sesame oil & sriracha
